What is the typical course of an outing?

Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled departure time at either Quai Franklin for departures from Auray or Quai Jean Bart for departures from Le Bono. In Auray, you will board the catamaran directly from the quay. In Le Bono, Sébastien will take you by Zodiac to the catamaran, located 3 minutes from the quay. Once on board, after getting ready for sailing, we will begin with a briefing covering the program, weather, charts, and tides, and then prepare the catamaran before setting sail.

During the courses, the goal being to learn, you will obviously discover all the navigation positions (helmsman, mainsail trimmer, headsail trimmer, number 1, navigator) and learn everything that is useful to you according to your level.During outings, you'll participate in various roles according to your preferences. Hoisting the sails, steering, maintaining a course, trimming the sails, flying the spinnaker, etc... You can also enjoy the deck layout and trampolines to relax!

Outings and courses are open to all levels; beginners and experts are welcome. In all cases, you will be accompanied by Sébastien, a professional skipper and instructor.

You can book by email , phone , or via our contact page. All the necessary information for your visit will be provided. For private outings and workshops, a 50% deposit is required.

What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of bad weather the outing will either be cancelled or postponed, depending on everyone's availability.While acknowledging that, to avoid any misuse, the decision to cancel the trip rests solely with the skipper, there's no need to worry. I want everyone to have a great time, so I have no intention of making you sail in bad conditions. Of course, the definition of "bad weather" can vary depending on individual interpretation, and a few clouds or showers during the day are not grounds for cancellation—we are in Brittany, after all! However, rain that is clearly forecast for the entire trip, or excessively strong winds, will be grounds for cancellation. As you know, the weather at sea can sometimes change rapidly, so be prepared to protect yourself from the sun, the cold, and the rain, just in case.
